Pinterest in Real Life!

I KatySue Pillsbury tried a recipe from Pinterest and didn't make one mistake, change anything and it turned out exactly like the pin said it should!!!

You take Pillsbury canned cinnamon rolls and cook them in a waffle iron, I was sold, cinnamon roll waffles? Could breakfast get any better?

I guess if you really wanted a perfect breakfast you should add herbed scrambled eggs, sausage and an iced caramel macchiato.....and that may or may not be the exact breakfast I had this morning.....
(Click on the picture to be taken to the recipe)

After a small panic moment when I realized I've never used a waffle iron before (what can I say, pancakes and waffles SCARE ME!) and burning my fingers on the knob-less on and off switch (it's just a little metal thingy (look at me being all technical and stuff) that went up inside the plastic knob, and it gets HOT!)

My Mom very kindly opened the cinnamon rolls for me (I may or may not scream like a little girl when I do it.....it's worse then popping balloons I tell you.....that is some heart pounding action right there!)

I kind of, sorta maybe ate three and a half....okay maybe it was more like four....but I had to test the first batch to see if I should bother cooking the second one, right? So that first half of one doesn't count.....
(Man, I LOVE me some Insatgram!)

~More pins I've tested and had work! Just click on the picture to be taken to the source.~

Just a little bit of tweaking is needed to make these perfect but they are pretty darn good as the recipe stands!

Eat it, it's goooooooooooood.....'nough said!

These turned out wonderfully and are far easier to make then their cereal counter parts!

~Some pin fails.....it might be my fault or it might be the pins, I'm leaning towards the pins being at fault.....

If you like watery, odd tasting, exploding out of the bender beverages this is the pin for you!

My nails stayed wet for HOURS after trying this, and since it was supposed to be a quick drying tip I count it as a FAIL!

Maybe my tub has a different type of tub scum then hers, but not only did it not work, it made the inside of my nose burn for about an hour! And who lets there shower get THAT filthy anyway?

Random Bits of Life.....

~Went to see Brave and it was amazing, as was the short before hand, La Luna. I was a little worried the way the plot was headed, but then they resolved everything quite nicely in my opinion!
It did make me want my long crazy hair back, and I was super excited to see a tombiyish princess who didn't change her skirts for pants at every opportunity! =)

~This movie on the other hand was a waste of he $3 I paid for me and the littles to get in! =P

~Weight loss.....good.....face looker thinner as a result of said weight loss.....even better....nose beginning to look bigger as a result.....NOT GOOD!!!!
(Messed around with my Instgram a bit here, I love that little app!)

~Hmm, why would you?

What a Week!!!!!!!

First things first, we went back to Portland for Fathers Day (which also happened to coincide with the Pride Parade, which was parading (and blocking the street) right past Powell's, one of our main destinations of the day.....of all the days we could have picked.....)

Completely different drinks, the small on is a Chai tea and the bigger one is a Caramel Macchiato, yet they look exactly the same.....

The Tardis's maiden voyage!

He likes coffee too apparently! ;-)

Lego Store!

Bubble tea store, coconut smoothie with lychee jellies, smoothie and flavor of jellies good, texture of jellies not so good.....I bet one of my sisters she wouldn't take a drink for a $1....guess who had to pony up the $!!!

We did make it to Powell's, luckily the parade had ended by the time we were done at the mall, not that the parade leftovers weren't still wandering around.....

New glasses, yes, again.....I actually tried these ones on, so I knew they fit and I liked how they looked, and nobody cried this time! Yes, I cried last time I picked out glasses in person.....

I'm not proud of it, but I figure it's better to break down at the small things like bad hair, pie crust and glasses and being able to keep a calm head during the really bad things...for example, like having the little boy you watch fall off of a fence and break his arm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, that happened.....on the first day of summer.....he even had to get knocked out so they could set it.....luckily his Moms a nurse and she was working at the urgent care only about 5 minutes from where he broke his arm..... I feel really bad.....the parents are joking about it and completely fine with it and were kind of expecting it sooner or later.....but I saved the freaking out and guilt ridden behavior until I got home..... needless to say, there was some freaking out emotional behavior this week! =P

He's fine by the way! And I'm the only one beating myself up about it!

Ahem, back to the glasses.....

I must have a wide short head, I need medium to wide frames and then they always have to majorly bend the bows so they don't slide down my nose! I guess the short wide thing with the glasses shouldn't surprise me, it's kind of in theme with the rest of me! ;-)
(I love the sparkles!)

New sunnies too! My old ones were falling apart and my prescription had changed 3 times since I'd gotten the old ones!
(Sorry for the kind of creepy pic, I couldn't get my eyes to not show through the lenses!)

Love the bows.....

.....and the came with a really soft, beautiful case!

My b-day has come and gone, it was spread out this year, which used to bother me, I wanted all the celebrating done ON the DAY! But, this year I got two days of celebration, what was my problem with spreading it out again?

Pink doughnuts and going out to dinner and a play on day one and then presents and homemade dinner and cake on my actual birthday!

Meet my big present, an iPod Touch! I had to re-download (or is it up load? I never know!) all of my music to my laptop again, I hadn't gotten around to doing it again since my computer crashed. But, it's all on there now! Along with three free versions of Angry Birds (I may have to buy the Rio version, I love the background music!) and a couple Instagram apps.....Oh, and FaceBook and Pinterest.....yep, that's how I roll!

Thank you so much Mom and Dad!

And me being me, I already have a skin picked out and after next payday it will be on it's way! ;-)

15x15~Last Day!

In honor of today being the last day (yeah!) I am re-wearing my favorite new outfit from the challenge! I had never put these pieces together, and now it is definitely going to be a combo I wear all the time! =)

This has definitely been fun, and not as challenging as I thought, more like I'm just tired of wearing the same clothes over and over! Sadly, I never got too creative, the whole dress as a skirt/shirt thing just didn't work with any of the pieces in my closest, so mixed and matched tops and bottoms it was! =)
Three of the 15.....
Striped shirt: Kohls
Yellow skirt: made by me
Brown flats: Target

Bracelet: Shop-Ko, Earrings: made by me, Neckalce: Fragile Elite Design
Yes, all you Doctor Who fans out there, that is indeed a Tardis necklace and not a blue porto potty like my little siblings thought at first! They have quite a nice selection of Sherlock necklaces now as well..... ;-)

15x15~Day Fourteen!

Three of the 15 today.....You know? I think I've only worn less then three once.....yet I still feel the need to say how many of the 15 I am wearing! =P
Yellow shirt: Kohls
Jeans shorts: Venezia via eBay
Brown flats: Target

Earrings: Same deal as yesterday! Forever 21 from eBay!

~I made these, I know I said I would report back sooner, but I forgot!
The recipe calls for 1 cup milk, 1/3 cup Nutella.

I put the milk in a glass 2 cup measure and added the Nutella. Then slowly warmed them together in the microwave until they whisked together, poured into molds, then froze!

They were good, but the best part was were the Nutella had risen to the top of the mold, so next time I'm using evaporated milk (I used Fat Free originally) and more of a half milk, half Nutella ratio!

Hopefully I will get back to you soon on how the changes tasted!

Though we do have two birthdays (one of them mine!) and Fathers day all before next Tuesday.....so we might be to full of cake for Nutella fudge pops...who am I kidding?.....There is always room for Nutella fudge pops!  ;-)

15x15~Day Nine

Hair has decided it doesn't want to be flippy and cute on both sides anymore.....it wants to curl and be straight at the same time and no mater how many times I tell it this is not acceptable, it goes against my express wishes anyway..... =P
Three of the 15 today......
Green shirt: JCPenny
Jeans shorts: Venezia via eBay
Brown flats (not pictured): Target

Earrings: Gabrielle Atelier (Ashley's sisters Esty store, which appears to be empty at the moment!)

~I saw an ad for this camera awhile back and immediately knew I needed to start saving my pennies to buy one! I love of small cameras, but I also love the photo quality of a DSLR. This camera seems to have both! I've played with one at Costco and while I will DEFINITELY be waiting until the price goes down, I'm pretty sure this will be my next camera purchase!
Hopefully the price drops soon as the battery door on my old camera is popping halfway open all the time now..... =(
Nikon-1-J1

~This so TOTALLY works and it has saved me time already while writing this post! =)
