WIFD~Day Two

It was supposed to be sunny and almost 60 today. It is raining outside and only about 45! =( Gotta love spring in the high desert! I need to learn to take better self portraits, that's the problem with being the photographer in the household, you can't get good pics of yourself!!
Sweater~Wal Mart
 Dress~Made by me
Shoes~Black flats that are in such bad shape they were removed for the picture! I just haven't been able to find a new pair that I like!
Earrings(pic to follow)~ Made by me

My friend Daisy is kindly holding the earrings for me. They seemed to go with the vintage French feeling of my fabric!

WIFD~Day one

Happy Mothers Day! I forgot that today was the start of WIFD, I thought that it was next Sunday. Alas, because of a big head and LOTS of hair, all hats just pop right off of my head, so no hat for me today!

Sweater- Jessica London
Tank- St Johns bay, JC Penny
Skirt-Made by me(it has huge patch pockets, I love pockets!!)
Shoes- Target
I loved these shoes in store and tried them on almost every time I went, but I try not to spend more then $15 on shoes that won't go with most of my wardrobe. I was super excited when I saw these for less then $10 on the Target website. Boyah for off season, sale shoes!

Me and Chanticleer, while this pic wasn't taken today(it was taken on May Day while we were out delivering baskets) I am wearing the same outfit. Besides when does a giant rooster not make you smile??=)
Does anyone else love/remember the movie Rock-A-Doodle??

Happy May Day!!

Happy May Day! My family started celebrating this holiday when I was 12. I had just read Louisa May Alcott's Jack and Jill and fell in love with the idea and talked my family into it. So, now every year on May Day, we make baskets the night before, fill them with flowers, hugs and kisses(the chocolate kind, of course!) and deliver them(for the most part) before the sun comes up.

My fav baskets are old frappachino bottles with simple wire handles. They remind me of old fashioned milk bottles!

The all important caffeine boost for making all the handles. Me, being the one with experience with wire gets that job!

Click on the pic to see the handle more clearly, I couldn't get a clear picture and was to tired to try anymore!

A close up, just because I love my macro feature!

The baskets after they have all been filled

Sneaky, sneaky.....

Run!

La, de, da de da!!
