Yesterday my mind had stopped thinking and would only worry and fret…..Yesterday my heart was broken…..Yesterday my soul had fled to the darkest reaches of my imagination…..Yesterday my life lay in shambles around my feet…..As I sat in the middle of the destruction every dream I had ever dreamt, I feel asleep…..Yet, as I slept, God placed one small, softly glowing seed into my heart…..When I awoke to the new day, heart sore, but healing…..That seed was hope!

I'm Baaaaaack!!!! (Wait, didn't I name last years family camp recap post the same thing?)

*GrumbleGrumble* Why is my darn camera taking so long to download the pictures....wait (she suddenly realizes) maybe it's that 22 minute long video I took of the kids puppet show..... ;-)

With out further ado (who else loves that word?) here are some family camp pics!

The sun coming up through the trees

Hiding from the camera

It's early! My Mom and I get up at 5:30 so we can have the bathroom/showers (we're talking warm water, with a locking door type showers here people.....showers! We were warned multiple times about how rustic the camp was....please! In my opinion if I can shower daily, it is NOT rustic!)

Our cabin mid un-packing....it got more organized.....I promise!

.....and here is were I promptly took my camera up to the lodge and lost it until the middle of the last day.....opps! I have "borrowed" these pics off of my FaceBook friends pages, thanks FB friends!! =)

I failed rather epically(much to the amusement of half of the people at camp who made their way down to our normally secluded shore!) at standing on the board, but in my defense it's not really a paddle board.....

I on the other hand ROCKED the kayak (not me in the pic by the way!)

Three of our Pastors grandkids getting baptized! The baptisms are always one of my favorite parts of camp! =)

Western themed lunch at the lodge, we were all supposed to bring theme clothes for the lunches and dinners, it was great! =)

.....and last but not least....if you click on this last picture to make it bigger you will see the only picture of me taken at camp this year.....and no, I am not 9 months pregnant! =P

It wa super fun and I can't wait to go back next year....maybe next year I'll have one of those awesome car top tents....oh and a husband....a girls gotta have her priorities staight.....first awesome tent.....then husband!! ;-)

A Mid Summer Nights Dream was AMAZING! I had tried to watch the movie but always got bored about a third of the way through, I didn't even catch the fact that they spoke in rhyme most of the time!

The VIP tickets were amazing seats (worth the hefty price tag for the seat alone!) and I got to order (and get carded!) my fist ever gin and tonic (I felt so sofisicated....then I opened my mouth and squealed, "I feel so sophisticated!" That kind of ruined the moment I'm thinking!), it was surprisingly good! Which might explain the second one I got during intermission..... =)

Here are the only pictures from Shakespeare in the park....taken in the car on the way there to make sure my Chai LipTint (What? that flavor is gone? I guess you'll just have to make do with one of her other AMAZING flavors!) looked okay.....*shame*what can I say? I just can't seem to remember to take pictures while I'm actually at an event! The dress I ordered to wear is way to big, so I got something on clearance at Kohl's, I'll take a pic sometime and show ya'!

For some odd reason I feel like before Penelope here.....not sure why.....maybe it's the really wide nose! =P
(How close to perfect did the hair look that night peeps? Pretty durn close if you ask ol' pig nose here!)

.....and just for kicks here are a  few quick outfit pics, 'cause I love ya' guys.....no need to bow and offer me gifts.....though if you must.....leave the gifts on the table by the door, thanks! I was to lazy to go and get something of a smaller profile to prop the camera up, so I just bent over a bit.....again my sophistication is really coming out!
 Bandanna~Wal-Mart $1.99
Green tank~Wal-Mart $4
Skirt~Made by me!
Shoes~ Flip-Flops (not pictured)

Here is a close up of the bandanna, I love wearing them like this! The secret to a neatly folded bandanna that won't slowly unfold and rumple through out the day? Iron each fold as you go and it will stay put. I wore this all through out family camp and I never needed to refold it! =)

My Summer (So Far) in Pictures

Now that my computer is back I will bombard you with pictures of my summer so far!

At the Fourth of July book sale.  =)

Toasting Peeps I found at the back of the deep freeze. What? Everybody knows Peeps are WAY better frozen....I had a stroke of genius and decided to toast one over the burner on the stove, creating a creme brullee like outside and a super melty even after it cools down inside, best toasted marshmallow ever!!

I've always had a thing about rubbing a guys shaved head.....I didn't want to walk up to a random shaved guy (on the whole they don't seem like the worlds most friendly group) and ask to rub his head.....so I may have bribed my little brother with Legos to let my Mom shave his head...... ;-)

I wasn't the only one who rubbed his head, most of the women at church did too!! =)

You are now seeing the only outfit pictures I've taken in the last few months! I have come to discover that after years of avoiding this color combo, I LOVE IT!! The funny pose? It's because I also started taking a Zumba class(which is great by the way) and I am showing off my AWESOME moves! =)

This is one of my favorite pairs of earrings I've ever made!

The fam at Balloons over Bend

A video of the first balloon, you'll want to turn the sound down as it's just loud scrambled screaming!!
video

At the end of the Lava River Cave, I love caves!

Eating Funnel cakes at the fair and getting covered in powdered sugar, it's a family tradition!

The kids went in these giant floating plastic balls, it was hilarious!

Deep.....Fried....Pickle.....YUM!

If you've been around long, you've most likely heard me talk about want to try a deep fried candy bar.....guess what they had at the fair this year! Now, it was pretty good, but the batter was sweet too, so it was a bit much. Now, what they really need to do is put the pickle batter on the candy bar, now that would be deep fried heaven on a stick! =

Fried cheese

A trailer that has stairs, a bigger kitchen then our house and costs half of what our house is worth.....yeah kids, keep dreaming!

Happy Summer!

Feelin' Fallish

Okay, the problem appears to be that blogger no longer supports my browser of choice....what's up with that blogger? What about freedom of choice? What about my rights? How can you.....opps.....Anywhoodle.....back to our regularly scheduled programming! =)

I won't lie, the fall look books have been getting to me.... I'm beginning to long for the days of falling leaves and apple cider (doughnuts....apple cider doughnuts!) And I might be looking forward to the day when two thirds of the kids I nanny are back in school and I'm still getting paid that same.....what?! I'm just sayin'!

A few months ago I revived a catalog from Simply Be, a UK based clothing company that caters to us full busted gals. Does it strike anyone else as odd that 90% of  the similar company's out there are UK based? Do they just have bigger busts across the pond? Maybe I should consider a change of address..... ;-)

Ahem, anyway these are just a few of their beautiful and very expensive new fall items! =)

On a side note, they do have decent clearance prices and after stalking this dress ever since I first found the company....I may have bought it! Isn't it purtyful? And I even have a place to wear it! I talked my Mom and one of her friends into going to see a production of A Mid Summer Nights Dream in the park....and I may have inadvertently bought us VIP tickets....which means we get free wine and appetizers and get to hang with the swanky folks!  =)
