The newest additions to my ;quickly growing out of control, jewelry collection!
I found these leaves at Joann's, aren't they lovely? They reminded me of some earrings I recently got, I wanted teal and she was all out. But, the teal sparkly leaf earring itch is now satisfied!!=)
A pendant I picked up at the same time, I strung it on some "leather" cord and tied some slip knots so I can adjust the length.
Yes, I bought it! I am wearing it today and every time I look down it makes my heart feel happy!=)
I'm a cheater, yes me. This picture may be from last winter. I'm wearing the exact same outfit today, the only difference is my hair was longer. It's a lot harder to take outfit pictures and blog about them everyday then I thought!!=)
Dress-Made by me
Belt- Borrowed from sister
Boots-Online store I still dont' remember the name of!
I must remember that I need to take pictures later or earlier, right now the sun blows out the color. But, an odd work schedule this morning and a dinner/movie night with my girls makes this the only time I've got!=)
I would like you to met one of the reasons skirts and dresses make up most of my wardrobe, my 24 inch in seam, stubby legs! But, after watching Tin Man with Zooey Deschanel and Alan Cummings I had to look for a pair of wide legged sailor jeans. Great movie by the way, I would recommend it!
Have you ever made fashion choices (sometimes misguided!) based on your current favorite movie or book?
Shoes- *Sigh* yes, the cowboy boots. What can I say? My other brown shoes just don't go with my fall wardrobe!
Earrings- Coast trip, some little too expensive, cheesy gift shop. I paid $10, online at the designers site they run $35! They sure do make puuutry stuff though! Byrd Designs, click on the name to drool!
Necklace- Hens Tooth, a local to expensive, cheesy gitft shop!
Shoes- Target, used to have BIG bows on them, I felt like a matador so took them off!
Necklace-Made by me
Earrings- Made by me/Wal-Mart, they started out life as three pumpkins hanging off of each other in a row. I didn't like that so my Mom and I split the cost, $3, and I came home and took them apart coming up with these! So for three dollars I now have made two pairs of earrings and have the supplies for a third, anybody interested?=)
Shoes- Cowboy boots from Wal-Mart, same as days one and two
Necklace- JC Penny
The colors in my outfit today made me think of this song. I love this musical, you should definitely watch it if you can get your hands on a copy. Agony is my favorite song, look it up on youtube it and get ready to laugh!!=)
Eek, I didn't realize how different of a shade of brown the shoes were until I saw the picture.....maybe a footwear change is in order!
Shirt- Wal-Mart
Skirt- Made by me
Shoes- Target, but I think they may change into the cowboy boots from day's one and two!
Necklace(Picture below) From RJ Charms on Etsy, I love it!
If anyone else has a coffee habit, you need to try the new flavored Via. Make it with milk instead of water and you have a straight from the coffee house treat for a fraction of the cost! I've tried the vanilla, cinnamon and the caramel, all very good!=)
This song was on my first Frank Sinatra CD and I have to laugh every time I hear it!=)
I imagine myself riding down that "ol' Bend" highway in the fall. Music blasting and windows down!
In this car.....
Wearing this.....
Shirt- Made by me from Sense and Sensibilities Romantic blouse pattern
Skirt- Made by me
Tights- Wal-Mart
(Not pictured)Shoes- Target
With him! =)
I love this song and due to the slurring of the words, my Mom and I thought it said, just like drivin' down ol' Bend highway. We live near a pretty country road called old Bend-Redmond Highway, so we may have thought that they were talking about that.....until I looked up the lyrics and say it really said open highway. I still sing it our way!
Skirt~ Made by me from the Folk Wear walking skirt pattern
Shoes~ Target
Earrings~Made by me
Bracelet~Made by me
I love the back of this skirt!=)
Hi!
Fall makes me want to listen to Frank Sinatra, Micheal Buble and Harry Connick Jr. I'm listening to a CD with this song on it right now, but wow, does Harry look different! =)
I've never seen the movie, so I can't recommend it, but I do know that t he sound track is awesome!
This is what I would wear to a fall bonfire, if I was ever invited to one!(hint, hint.....)
Shirt~Wal-Mart
Skirt~Made by me, from an old dress made by me, from fabric from Wal-Mart
Boots~ Wal-Mart
Owl necklace~ Made by me, charm from.....Micheal's, not Wal-Mart! Are you surprised? I was when I realized that everything besides the necklace and one other item are from Wal-Mart, unseen garments included !(TMI?hehe)
I love the concept of this video, now if only I knew if it was all staged or not.
I love the Christmas version of this he recorded. Did you know? The Christmas version was a spur of the moment, turned the bathroom of the hotel into a recording room type of thing! I love random facts like that, don't you?
Today is the first day of the Autumn Fashion Showcase! It has been hovering around 80 degrees, but today it is blessedly cooler fallsih weather! Sorry all of you local people, but I've been praying for cooler weather, it's fall for goodness sake, I want to wear boots and sleeves, not sun dresses and flip flops!=P
I have been hanging onto this fabric since early spring. I knew it would make the perfect princess seam dress, but me and the ol' princess seam haven't exactly gotten along in the past. I just couldn't get it to fit right. I finally found and modified a pattern and will be using it a lot!=)
While I was working with this fabric, the song Last Rose of Summer popped into my head. It's a dress I made at the end of summer and has roses on it, so I dubbed this dress the Last Rose of Summer dress. Very creative, right? ;-)
A necklace I made out of old earring parts. The beads are to heavy for earrings and the heart hoops looked odd on, so after hanging onto both pieces for years, I finally put them together into my new favorite necklace!
A very long leather braid that I can use for a bracelet, anklet, or a necklace. I copied it after seeing one on the net and I didn't want to pay $45. I paid $3!*smile*
Colors of the Wind Earrings from Amanda Beth. They are forest green and sparkly!
This is my favorite version of this song, I love the Celtic women.=)
The FBC(First Baptist Church) annual Harvest Party was on Saturday. As long as anyone I have asked remembers it's always been at the Roy's house. They have a lovely farm outside of Terrebon. There are caramel apples, hayrides, horse rides, zip lines, animals wandering every where. The latter much to my dismay, because I appear to be very tasty to animals as when ever I get close to them, they chew on me! The best part? The fresh pressed apple cider! Yummy!
