Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all my bloggy friends! I love this song and have always had a secret fantasy of having it sung to me.....did you hear that future husband??? ;-)

To celebrate the holiday my family is going out to dinner and a movie for New Years Eve, then coming home, hopefully it's not raining, to set off a few fireworks that we saved from the 4th of July. Then at midnight we watch the ball drop, then run outside screaming and banging pots...and there might be a midnight phone call to a crotchety friend who goes to bed at 9pm and curses those of us who stay up and disturb the peace.....just to include him in the fun you know......he won't mind at all if we do! ;-)

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year and this is my favorite song of the season, and while I'm not to fond of the singer as a person he has done my favorite verison of this song by far!!

Classy

As a decidedly self admitted unclassy gal, I always lamented that lack of,well.....whatever it is that makes someone elegant and classy.

Maybe this.....

....will shed some light on that missing spark! I would like to feel elegant and classy, even if just for a fleeting moment! I'm not sure I would want to live there in the world of elegance and charm, I enjoy slouching, sitting cross legged on the floor, sprawling far to much and laughing (while snorting) at slightly inappropriate things, far to much to give them up entirely!

THIS FOR EXAMPLE, set me to tittering and snorting with the best of them!

Not that there's anything wrong with cute.....

(If you've ever seen the movie Horton hears a Who you will not only know who this is, but will have my personality in a nutshell!)

So, we shall see if this challenge helps me capture that elusive spark that has so far escaped my grasp!!

~Day 12~

*sniff* *sniff*I can't believe it's the last day this event already! November flew by consumed with word counts and deadlines and now here we sit halfway through December, the first half filled with rehearsals, performances, and fashion events! This next week is blessedly quiet before my older sister and her husband come, then the craziness will begin a new! The last challenge of this event was to wear red and green!
